1. Who we are

ShieldedDrive is a car rental company based in Beirut, Lebanon. This policy explains what we do with the information you give us when you request a reservation, contact us, or message us on WhatsApp.

2. What we collect

We only collect what we need to arrange and manage a rental.

• Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
• Rental details: vehicle, pick-up and return location, dates and times, flight number if you provide one.
• Driver details: driver age, licence or passport country, and the licence and ID presented at collection.
• Any notes or messages you send us, including WhatsApp enquiries.
• Basic technical data from your visit to this website, such as pages viewed and errors, used to keep the site working.

3. Why we use it

Your information is used to check availability, prepare a quotation, confirm and deliver your rental, contact you about your booking, and keep the records required for insurance, fines and accounting.

We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we never sell them.

4. Who can see it

Access is limited to ShieldedDrive staff handling your rental, and to service providers acting on our behalf: our website and database hosting provider, and the email service that delivers your booking confirmation.

Information may also be shared where the law requires it, or with insurers and authorities in the event of an accident, theft or traffic fine.

5. How long we keep it

Reservation records are kept for as long as needed to manage the rental and to satisfy legal, insurance and accounting obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a rental are deleted once they are no longer useful.

6. Security

Reservation data is stored in an access-controlled database and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). We do not collect or store card details on this website — no payment is taken online.

7. Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email info@shielded-drive.com and we will respond directly.

8. Cookies

This website uses only the storage strictly needed to work correctly and to keep your session and preferences. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date. The version in force is the one published when you make your booking.
